A few years ago, this bizarre glass-like tube was found at Nags Beach in North Carolina. As a result, the person who found it asked Reddit for some help in solving the mystery of the strange object. It was suggested to be stingray teeth. It was also explained that stingrays, much like many other beings, lose their teeth, and new teeth grow back in their place. While that seems the most likely, people were incredibly taken aback. “I never knew this! I’m today years old, and never thought stingrays have “teeth”.” Commented one user. Meanwhile, another was more concerned about the OP’s bravery. “Freaks me out that you would put your finger in it.. shudder,” they wrote.

2. Strange Objects Can Be Useful

The image above was shared by someone who’d recently purchased a lake home. They found three strange objects, described as a “Criss-Cross Stack of Corrugated Pipes.” The pipes were wrapped in plastic netting and then weighed down using bricks. The strange objects are known as fish cribs and serve two primary purposes. First, they give baby fish a place to hide from predators. Second, they attract lunkers, or large fish, hoping to prey on smaller fish.

3. Strange Objects can be Lethal

This fuzzy-looking thing was posted by another Reddit user, who was left baffled by its growth in their home. Although it looks like something right out of a children’s story, it’s actually much more sinister. Evidently, this growth was an incredibly toxic form of mold. However, this hasn’t been confirmed.

Years ago, when my daughter was a newborn and upstairs apartment also had a newborn and they were constantly sick. Long story short, the upstairs baby boy passed away from a toxic mold [just like that which grew in the vents.] The coroner said if a healthy body builder huge man touched a piece of that mold it’s 9/10 fatal.” Commented a user who urged the OP to cleanse their lungs and contact their doctor. Fortunately, the OP did follow up to explain that it was indeed mold, that the landlord had taken care of it, and that there have been no other concerns since.
